U2’s iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE – Live In Paris Concert Film- Mixed at Beatstreet NYC

Beatstreet NYC spent early 2016 hosting the mix of U2‘s  iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE – Live In Paris. Engineer Carl Glanville took up residence in our surround suite to mix the concert film for DVD, Blu-Ray, and digital download. The film captures the band’s two Paris performances that took place in December. The shows were initially set to take place in November, but were rescheduled due to the Paris terrorist attack. Watch a trailer below, and find the tracklist here.

“Love Lust or Run” Season 2 for TLC

We just wrapped up the 26-episode Season 2 of the TLC Series Love, Lust or Run with Stacy London. Great working with the gang at True Entertainment on this one! Matt Longoria and Bobb Barito handled the Audio Post & Mix chores for Beatstreet. Looking forward to Round 3!

Nickelodeon Greenlights “Welcome To The Wayne”

This Fall, creator Billy Lopez returned to Beatstreet with director/supervisor Jeffrey Lesser to begin working on Nickelodeon’s Welcome to the Wayne TV network debut. Just one year earlier the team came to us for dialog recording, sound design and mixing for their 6 episode web exclusive for Nick.com. Based on the overwhelming response, the Network greenlit production for 20 full episodes, the first time ever for digital short-form series from Nickelodeon. The series will also be developed for Apps, Games and Web concurrently.

2 Grammy Wins for Beatstreet Engineer Jared O’Connell

Beatstreet’s Jared O’Connell went 2 for 2 as both of his Grammy nominations won trophies! Congrats to Jared for his work recording Joan Rivers in her narration of the audiobook Diary of a Mad Diva, which won the Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album. He also directed I Am Malala (Young Readers Edition), which won the Grammy for Best Children Album. Congratulations also to Beatstreet’s Ryan Lysy, who handled the post production on this title.

Mixing Chris Gethard’s Network Debut

We had fun mixing Season One of Fusion Network’s “Chris Gethard” Show. Beatstreet’s Matt Longoria manned the controls for both Music and Show mixing.

Smithsonian’s “Good Thinking”

We are proud to have worked with The Smithsonian and our friends at FableVision studios on the Smithsonian web series, “Good Thinking.” We cast and recorded the series and called on our A-Team talent for many fun sessions.

Angelo Rules Season 3

This year, we recorded 52 episodes for Angelo Rules, Season 3 (Cartoon Network). It was great working with Andy & Amy Rheingold, Cake Entertainment and all of the amazing talent for this series.

“Creative Galaxy” Season 2 for Amazon Prime

We’re having a blast doing the star-studded dialog recording for season 2 of “Creative Galaxy” (Out of the Blue Enterprises). The series, animated by 9 Story Entertainment, features Arty, an adorable alien artist, and Epiphany, his inspirational side-kick, on their adventures through the CREATIVE GALAXY solving problems through art. CREATIVE GALAXY features vocal talent from Christian Distefano (PAW Patrol) as Arty, Kira Gelineau (Dear Viola) as Epiphany, and guest stars Samantha Bee (The Daily Show), Jason Jones (The Daily Show), Cloris Leachman (Malcolm In the Middle), Jason Priestley (Beverly Hills 90210) and Brooke Shields (Lipstick Jungle).

NickJr.Com Alphabuttons

After the success of the “Do Not Touch” buttons in Nickelodeon App and Nick.com, we’re working with Nick Jr on a series of “Alpha” buttons for the Nick Jr App and NickJr.com. Beatstreet’s Bobb Barito and Kerry Pompeo are lending their Sound Design/Voice talents to these.

Delocated Finale on Adult Swim

It is with a tearful eye that we bid farewell to one of our favorite series, Adult Swim’s Delocated.  Mixer Matt Longoria had a blast working with creator/star Jon Glaser,m and the folks at Runningman Post, on the show’s series finale special.  Check out the teaser below and be sure to tune in to Adult Swim for the finale on March 7th at 12:30AM!

Rachel Maddow’s “Drift” nominated for a Grammy!

Congratulations to Rachel Maddow on her Grammy nomination for “Best Spoken Word Album!”  Rachel’s book Drift: The Unmooring Of American Military was recorded at Beatstreet earlier this year and produced by Scott Sherratt.  Rock on, Rachel!

The Cave wins the “People’s Choice Award” at Nameless Festival

Congratulationss are in order to film-maker, Niclas Gillis, who’s short film, The Cave, won the “People’s Choice Award” at the Nameless Festival this past week.  The film, which is inspired by Plato’s Cave, was sound-designed and mixed by our own Matt Longoria at Beatstreet this month.

Frances McDormand & Cynthia Nixon read Tales Of The City!

Over the past month, we’ve recorded several titles from Armistead Maupin’s classic series Tales Of The City.  Oscar-winner Frances McDormand read the first and third books in the series, Tales Of The City and Further Tales Of The City, and Sex And The City star Cynthia Nixon recorded the second, More Tales Of The City.  Scott Sherratt directed the books for Harper Audio while Jared O’Connell & Jeff Malinowski engineered.

Marlo Thomas returns to Beatstreet for a new Discovery program!

“That Girl,” Marlo Thomas returned to Beatstreet this past month to record the voiceovers for her new, Investigation Discovery program, “Happily Never After.”  Part wedding show and part police drama, each episode unveils the murder of a newlywed couple amidst flashbacks to their happy romance and the moment marital bliss turned to tragedy.  Marlo’s no stranger to Beatstreet: in 2005 we engineered her Grammy-winning album, Thanks And Giving!

John Hodgman brings Paul Rudd, John Hamm, & more to Beatstreet!

Comedian, Author, and “PC” in the famed Apple ads, John Hodgman, brought in a slew of TV and movie personalities last month for the audio recording of his new book, That Is All.  Over the week-long record, engineer Jared O’Connell rubbed shoulders with Jon Hamm, Paul Rudd, Patton Oswalt, and more.  Look for the book, available soon, wherever audiobooks are sold!  Check out a promo for the book below:
