Beatstreet opens ATMOS Mix Room!

We put the finishing touches on our Dolby ATMOS Mix Room to accommodate a new Apple TV series, details to follow. Dolby’s Tom Kodros came in to calibrate the room and give it his blessing. “Dee and Friends in Oz” on Netflix

We recently wrapped Audio Post a new Netflix series, “Dee & Friends in Oz”. Our good friends at 9 Story and Brown Bag Films reimagined Oz for a new generation. The series premieres on Netflix in 2024. Beatstreet’s Matt Longoria mixed the series and David Britton handled the Sound Design.

Karma’s World on Netflix

Team Beatstreet has been working on this series for 2 years and it debuts this Friday, 10/15 on Netflix. Karma’s a 10 yr old Brooklyn gal who wants to change the world through her Music. We mixed and sound designed the show. Chris “Ludacris” Holmes created the series and provided the tunes. It was a blast working with his team and our friends at 9 Story NY & Dublin. Check it out, a real feel-good show!

Sesame Street in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

It’s that time again! We just wrapped another year of vocal pre-records for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with Elmo, Ernie, Big Bird and the rest of our fuzzy @sesamestreet friends singing “See Us Coming Together”. We look forward to seeing everyone out there in celebration on T-Day!

Blues Clues & You, Season 3!

We started mixing the 3rd Season of Blues Clues & You, the 3rd generation of the iconic Children’s TV Show. Josh Dela Cruz is hosting the series. Beatstreet’s Matt Longoria is handling the mix and music edit. Jackson Roe and Max Bell are handling Sound Design & Foley. It’s great to be working with the awesome team at 9 Stories and Nickelodeon. ‘Anna & Friends’ at Beatstreet

We just finished a collaboration with Superprod Animation, Paris for the recording of 78 episodes of the preschool series, Anna & Friends. The preschool series features five inseparable friends celebrating the power of friendship. Beatstreet’s Yvelisse Reyes casted the series. Matt Longoria directed the voice talent and Max Bell engineered and assembled the episodes.

Beatstreet NYC Takes On Russell Brand’s Podcast with Charlene McCray

Following the release of his new book, “Recovery: Freedom from Our Addictions,” Russell Brand spoke with First Lady of New York City, Chirlane McCray at Beatstreet NYC for his podcast series, Under the Skin. The two spoke about America’s mental health crisis, why our society breeds depression, the importance of mental health reform, and her organization ‘Thrive NYC’. The project was produced by Macmillan Audio and recorded by Bobb Barito in Beatstreet’s Studio 601. Check out Episode #32 here.

Morgan Freeman Records Arnold Palmer Tribute for PGA

Directly following his appearance on the Live with Kelly show, distinguished actor Morgan Freeman came to Beatstreet NYC to record his tribute to golf legend Arnold Palmer.

The session was recorded in Studio 601 by engineer Bobb Barito, and produced by Ideas United.

Millions of viewers were moved by Freeman’s words as the :60 spot played throughout the 2016 Ryder Cup.

Two Grammy Wins!

Congrats to Team Beatstreet for the work on two Grammy-Award winning albums, Joan River’s “Diary of a Mad Diva” and “I Am Malala” young readers edition.

We’re honored to have worked with Joan, who so sadly passed away soon after. Her “Diary of a Mad Diva” was awarded “Best Spoken Word Album”. It was directed by Kevin Thomsen and recorded by Jared O’Connell.

“I Am Malala”, the Young Readers Edition was nominated for “Best Children’s Album”. It was produced by Hachette’s Cheryl Smith and directed by Jared O’Connell. Neela Vaswani provided the narration and Ryan Lysy handled the Audio Post for Beatstreet.

Nickelodeon’s Nick Jr. App

After working with the team at Nick Digital on the Nick App and revamped Nick.com website, we’re proud to see the launch of the Nick Jr. App. This App has kids’ favorite TV shows as well as interactive educational games. “Love, Lust or Run” on TLC

After a 10 year run of “What Not To Wear”, Stacy London is back with a new show on TLC. In “Love, Lust or Run” Stacy coaches women on fashion choices and discovers the impact the choices have on their lives. The 12-episode season will premiere Jan. 23, 2015. Stacy has been coming in to record her VOs and ADR. Beatstreet’s Matt Longoria is mixing the series for True Entertainment and TLC.

“Welcome to The Wayne” on Nick.com

We’re happy to announce the Premier of “Welcome to The Wayne,” Nickelodeon’s first original animated series created exclusively for the web and mobile. Beatstreet recorded VOs, Sound Designed and Mixed the series. The series makes its debut on a redesigned Nick.com site and on the Nickelodeon app on Monday, Aug 4th and a new episode is launched every Monday. After its start online, “Welcome to The Wayne” will be developed into a traditional television series.

Another Emmy Award-Winning Project!

We’re proud to say that the Nickelodeon IOS App that we’ve been working on for the past year has won an Emmy for “Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media”. This free App features a moveable tile layout that can be swiped in any direction, offering kids instant access to a ton of Nickelodeon content. The App includes fun interactive elements such as the “Do Not Touch” buttons that feature the Sound Design and Vocalizations of Beatstreet’s Matt Longoria and Bobb Barito. Check out a few of them:

Jim Cramer Marathon

Jim Cramer, the grizzled stock veteran and host of CNBC’s Mad Money camped out for several weekends at Beatstreet, recording his latest book “Get Rich Carefully,” for Penguin Random House Audio. Jim’s stamina was amazing, recording 9 hour sessions – standing! Kevin Thompsen directed the project with Beatstreet’s Jared O’Connell and Ryan Lysy engineering.
